Rocksource was established as a partnership between Norwegian

entrepreneurs, oil industry professionals and academics with a common

goal of adding value in the E&P industry by applying cutting edge

technology. The company is now well positioned to take advantage of

proprietary EM processing and interpretation skills together with strong

reservoir management and seismic interpretation skills.

Our strategy is to build an early cash flow position in the US, while at

the same time building a sustainable exploration–led portfolio in the

North Sea. The Rocksource portfolio currently contains production in

Texas, USA, seven exploration licenses on the UK Continental Shelf

and eight licenses on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The company

has also an equity share in the AGC Profond PSC in Senegal/Guinea

Bissau and the CY DWN 2001/1 PSC, offshore India.

The core of Rocksource´s technological abilities is related to the use

of electromagnetic (EM) data to reduce risk in exploration and proper

reservoir management to enhance recovery in production. We consider

the EM technology proven and with a game changing potential. Proper

use of EM technology can significantly improve exploration efficiency by

     - reducing the number of dry wells

     - optimizing rig capacity by drilling the right wells

     - reducing finding costs per barrel

This leads to improved value creation from exploration. Rocksource

has developed a proprietary state-of-the-art analysis approach to

successfully deal with EM data in both simple and complex settings.
