design, construction,
maintenance, and operation of industrial
facilities.
It is the largest Norwegian petroleum
sub-surface consultancy,
with
experience from most oil companies and fields/discoveries on the
Norwegian
Continental
Shelf. The Aker
Solutions E&P consultancy
is called Aker
Geo.
Aker Geo comprises a dedicated team
of 60 geologists, geophysi-
icists, and reservoir engineers. Their main
fields of activities are:
Geological and
geophysical interpretation
Petrophysics,
reservoir modelling and simulation
Wellsite
geology
Production
technology and operation
Aker Geo
delivers services through the whole
subsurface value chain,
from exploration
to production. Execution of projects can be
done at the
client’s
premises as well as in Aker Geo's own
offices where all needed
tools,
technology, methodology and experienced
staff are available.
In addition to
consulting for client specific projects,
Aker Geo
possesses teams working on
its own methodology and products,
commercially available for
our clients. These teams focus on the areas
of seismic depth conversion,
basin modelling, redetermination, and
asset
evaluations.
Aker Solutions
has approx. 23 000 employees in about 30
countries,
in addition to
approx. 10 000 contract personnel. Operating
revenues
in 2008 were NOK
58.3 billion (eq. USD 6.8 Billion).
Aker Solutions
is owned 40.3 % by Aker Holding AS of which
Aker ASA
holds a
controlling 60 %, the Norwegian Government
owns 30 %, SAAB
AB owns 7.5 %,
and Inventor AB 2.5 %. Among Other companies
